America's first serial killer, H.H. Holmes, turned his Chicago hotel into a
killing factory. From the outside the building appeared like any other 18th
century commercial lot. However behind the façade of the buildings,
shops and rooms lay a harrowing tale of depravity and deception.

It required painstaking investigation by Director David Monaghan
to learn how it was done. He obtained the original floor plans, and
worked with designer Charles Golding at 422 South
to build a scale model.

trade via the American medical establishment.
